New Leaders Council-Houston is part of a nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with 44 chapters and thousands of alumni nationwide. We engage diverse young leaders, many from communities traditionally excluded from the civic discourse, and give them the skills and policy grounding necessary to make them effective advocates working in all sectors to champion progressive policies and action.
Right now, NLC chapters are up and running in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Dallas gets underway in 2017. By 2020, we intend to cover the state, adding chapters in the Rio Grande Valley, El Paso, Fort Worth, and possibly East Texas or Ft. Bend County.
We can't grow without your support. The Texas Advisory Board will support NLC while our new chapters establish themselves in their communities.
Members are asked to donate of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000. This early investment will mean stability as new chapters launch, giving our working board and fellows time to build a broad base of support.
We also ask Texas Advisory Board members to provide guidance when they can about people or organizations who need to be involved with New Leaders Council. Members will be listed prominently on all Texas chapter websites. You'll be included in special invitations to meet with our fellows and supporters, and we're glad to meet one-on-one to determine how you'd like to be involved.
Please join us as one of the inaugural members of the Texas Advisory Board, and join us in committing to a more progressive Texas.
NLC is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations to NLC may be tax deductible.
