New Leaders Council-Houston connects diverse, young, progressive leaders in all sectors to their peers nationwide; trains them in leadership, policy, executive and entrepreneurial skills; and asks them to challenge inequality and work toward greater social, educational, and economic justice for all.
Our 2016 Fellows are honoring two people and one nonprofit agency that inspire them as they undertake that work, and hope you can join them to celebrate!
New Leaders Council-Houston will present three Change Maker Awards to The Honorable Frances "Sissy" Farenthold, Claudia Ortega-Hogue, and Legacy Community Health. We recognize them as some of Houston's most tenacious and admirable change-makers, working hard to build a stronger, more progressive future for our city and our state.
Join us for the awards ceremony, as we honor them and increase our network of committed activists working in neighborhoods, board rooms, doctor's offices, classrooms, and every place you can imagine across the city to advance an agenda of equality and justice for all.
We want to be sure Legacy employees and board members can join us, so are offering discounted ticket prices:
The funds we raise will support the recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing support of our next class of fellows.
Buy your tickets below, or click here for information on sponsorships or if you can't attend but wish to make a contribution.
